BitFlyer, a leading Japan-based cryptocurrency exchange and private firm, has officially declared that it will be adding Shiba Inu (SHIB) to its trading platform. To celebrate this significant milestone, BitFlyer plans to conduct a special lottery-style giveaway, distributing SHIB tokens to a selection of its customers.
The exchange made the announcement through a post on its official Twitter account. A rough translation of the tweet from Japanese discloses that BitFlyer will reward 20 fortunate winners with Shiba Inu tokens valued at 10,000 Japanese Yen each. This brings the total sum of the giveaway prizes to approximately $1,500.
The Shiba Inu community has been anticipating the listing of the SHIB token on major Japanese exchanges for quite some time. A Shiba Inu advocate known as “Cheggy” even initiated a petition urging these exchanges to include SHIB. Reportedly, the campaign has been ongoing for over 200 days.
