• The Maui wildfires are the most deadly in the United States. According to official data, the death toll of this unfortunate event is now at least 115 people. Furthermore, the wildfires burned more than 2,500 acres across historic towns like Lahaina, destroying homes and businesses in the region.  
• This event is now the worst natural disaster to happen in Hawaii’s history. However, the officials still don’t have a full grasp of what caused the wildfires. Some are saying it is due to a mix of high temperatures, strong winds from a Category 4 storm near the islands, and drought conditions. • Dwayne Johanson, popularly known as The Rock, and Oprah Winfrey are the latest celebrities asking to help those from the wildfires. Apparently, many of them are left homeless after the burning of their houses and businesses. They called the new fundraising the People’s Fund of Maui. So, with this new fundraising, they can help a lot of people affected by the Maui wildfires. 
• The limit of this donation wasn’t only for fiat and traditional money. So, cryptocurrencies such as Dogecoin, Bitcoin, and Ethereum featured in the donations. Those who want to help can make payments in cryptocurrencies.
