The Dubai Mall’s Etisalat showroom will replicate itself in the metaverse. The prototype was on display at the Gitex conference, which is currently taking place at the Dubai World Trade Center.
Digital Shopping In the Metaverse
The opening of a store in the metaverse and the ability for customers to digitally shop from it will be a significant technological and resource advancement, according to Abdul Mateen Mavad, Director of Infosys Technologies UAE. Utilizing both virtual reality and touchscreen technology, one can access the virtual shopping experience.
While explaining the endeavor, Mavad said that customers would be able to access, navigate, place orders, and take advantage of integrated services from anywhere. Soon, customers will be able to access online what is currently only available in physical malls.
Virtual Customer Interaction
Furthermore, Mavad stated that by using the VR glasses and touchpads, one may interact with other customers in the metaverse store exactly like they would in real life. With the use of these, customers may move throughout the store exactly like they would in a real one. Additionally, they can engage with one another through the built-in interactivity of the metaverse store.
Another important aspect of the project is the addition of accessibility. The user will receive a QR code through SMS after placing an order on the metaverse. They can pick up their goods from any kiosk in any Etisalat store around the UAE by scanning this QR code. It’s significant that the website project will quickly be accessible to users.
Furthermore, Mateen claimed that Etisalat Stores are debating using the strategy to develop a metaverse retail environment. According to reports, Dubai is making significant strides in the metaverse. The Dubai Metaverse Assembly, a metaverse congress, was recently held in the emirate to study the various dimensions of the metaverse.
