Visits to retail malls in the metaverse provide a number of advantages. They can accommodate as many shops as the designers and builders can imagine, which is one advantage. This objective inspired a Mexican businessman to build Island Shopping Mall, Mexico’s first metaverse shopping complex.
The Mall Launched Its Mobile App Today
An app for the mall is now accessible on the App Store and on Google Play. The launch of the app marks today as the start of its mobile user launch. The shopping center app is now accessible for both platforms, according to a local news outlet called Cultura Empresarial.
Users of this new virtual world will be able to shop online and gather coins and gems that can be exchanged for deals or actual products at any of the island’s numerous retail stores. Eighty brands have been validated as of yet. For developing brands, a separate building will be set aside.
Victoria’s Secret And Other Elite Brands to Attend
In addition to Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, LA Colors, GOC, Biss, Golden, LA Girl, Momiji, and Pai Pai are among the prestigious businesses that have confirmed their attendance at the mall’s inaugural celebration.
The designers of the Island Shopping Mall stated that they worked with “The Savings Group Limited,” a well-known British business that specializes in discount coupons, to bring in over 879 brands, including Adidas, Nike, Puma, Bershka, Guess, Apple, Levi’s, and many others.
Companies like these aren’t hesitant to explore the possibilities of the Internet of Things. Despite Apple’s vice president’s dislike of the phrase, the corporation has created a profitable business model focused on NFTs and the metaverse, and both Guess and Apple have opened storefronts inside of it.
Despite concerns about new forms of criminality and other vices in the Metaverse, the space continues to mimic the real world every day. We have gone from buying NFTs, owning virtual land next to Snoop Dog, and now setting up shopping malls. Time will tell how this space develops in the future.
