It’s been revealed that Ripple has gotten involved in yet another partnership; this time with San-Francisco based non-profit outfit Tipping point. Tipping point is a non-profit organization that is all about taking care of the needs of the vulnerable with its primary goals being fighting poverty, as well as income inequality.
Ripple a crypto-currency giant which ranks third by market cap trailing behind only Ethereum and Bitcoin; is set to donate $1 million which will advance the goals of the non-profit, by supporting struggling families around the Bay area, who have borne the brunt of run-away wealth inequality for years now.
A statistic by the non-profit indicates that 1.3 million people from around that area are just too poor to able to support themselves and meet their daily needs. The high cost of living around the Bay area shows that people need to work five minimum wage jobs inorder to eat, and pay the bills.
A statement by Ripple, who will be making a generous donation to Tipping point’s cause read;
“As part of our partnership, Ripple will work collaboratively with Tipping Point to explore ways to make the Bay Area more financially equitable and inclusive. We’ll put our heads together with experienced leaders from Tipping Point and its amazing grantee organizations to focus on increasing upward economic mobility for Bay Area workers and families.”
According to Ripple, its employees are looking forward to supporting Tipping point, and other donors in the Bay area project through personal donations. The company usually matches its employee’s donations to any non-profit on a dollar to dollar basis. In this case however, Ripple is set to go an extra mile in its donations.
This time around, Ripple will match its employee donations towards the project two to one. This will undoubtedly be phenomenal for the Tipping point project considering the support they also receive from other equally generous donors.
Despite the funding pledged by Ripple, the Turning point project will appreciate support from anyone out there wishing to write their names in history as having contributed towards an amazing project that seeks to change lives. Crypto donations in Litecoin, XRP, Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash, and Ethereum are all welcome.
Ripple did not just make news this week for its benevolence, as fiat and crypto trading platform Uphold called XRP the most traded digital asset across both North and South America. According to the popular crypto platform, 59.2% of its users in the Americas bought XRP between Jan 1 and February 14. Bitcoin came a distant second in cryptos purchased at 27%, Ethereum at 6%, Litecoin at 3.1%, Dash at 1.9%, Bitcoin cash at 1.6%, Bitcoin Gold at 0.5% and Cred at 0.4%.
Evidently, Ripple is growing not only in terms of partnerships, but also in use cases as well as trades. The obvious question in a lot of Ripple Hodler’s minds is probably, when shall all this good news reflect on price? Only time will tell.
