• About 5 years ago, in 2018, Google banned crypto advertisements for NFT games. The reason behind this was the procreation of harmful and misleading content. So, the majority of their advertisers then were promoting betting and gambling content as substitutes for NFT games. This heavily contributed to the ban. 

Google Lifts Ban on NFT Games Advertisements 

• It was with great joy for NFT games enthusiasts and advertisers when Google announced lifting their ban after nearly five years. According to them, their new policies regarding NFT games will take effect from 15th September. So, Google says only NFT games that do not promote gambling-related content may advertise those products. 
• The tech giant also gave a description of what they want from advertisers. In fact, Google was pretty much concise with its description. They want to the advertisement of games that feature NFTs. Furthermore, they want those types of games where NFTs help to buy new characters and upgrade them. No betting or gambling content is allowed.

The tech giant says there’s a prohibition on promoting games where players can wager or stake NFTs. Therefore, there’s no room for any game in which players can stake their NFTs, and they will win fungible tokens like cryptocurrencies. 
• There’s also a ban on social casino games that reward NFT. Apparently, Google doesn’t support any type of casino games that feature NFTs as their reward. Advertisers shouldn’t promote poker, slots, or roulette) that offer the opportunity to win NFTs. 
• Another aspect Google won’t support in their policy is advertisements to real gambling websites. So, this tech giant is saying their new crypto advertising policy doesn’t support the promotion of “real money gambling” destinations. In the end, Google strictly warns of suspension of any advertiser found breaking the rules.
