This FTX Hacker Has Woken From Slumber After Transferring Over $4 Million Ethereum Tokens

• An FTX hacker made a transfer of over $8 million in Ethereum tokens for the first time in over 11 months. 
• There’s still over $302 million worth of Ethereum tokens in the hacker’s wallet. 

Immediately after Sam Bankman-Fried resigned as the CEO of FTX, there was a massive hack on the failed crypto exchange. So, for a long time, this FTX hacker didn’t trade any of the tokens. Now, there are recent movements. 

FTX Hacker Moves $4 Million Stolen Funds 

• During the early period when FTX was fighting against bankruptcy, there was a major hack on the failed exchange, too. So, this crypto hack took many millions in Ethereum tokens from the crypto exchange. 
• This was one of the worst periods of FTX exchange, and it didn’t help matters with them considering their bankruptcy status. So, there were even suspicions that the FTX hacker might be an insider within the failed crypto exchange. One thing to note about this crypto hack is that the hacker moved the Ethereum tokens and didn’t touch them again. So, for more than 11 months, this FTX hacker didn’t make any trade or move the Ethereum tokens to another wallet.

FTX Hacker Awakens From Slumber After More than 11 Months

• Eleven months after the hack in the FTX crypto exchange, the hacker is finally moving the Ethereum tokens. So, with the current market situation, the 2500 Ethereum tokens are worth more than $4 million. Note that this recent move was according to data from a crypto monitoring platform on Thursday last week. Moreover, this move indicates that this FTX hacker was waiting for things to cool down before trading the Ethereum tokens. 
• According to more details, there were multiple transactions involving these 2500 Ethereum tokens. So, there was something that was even more intriguing about these transactions. The FTX hacker used privacy tools like the Thorchain router and Railgun wallet to ensure there was no revelation of the identity during the transactions. 

$8 Million Worth of Transactions So Far

• The transfer of around $4 million in Ethereum tokens wasn’t the only transaction. So, data from crypto monitoring platform Arkham Intel shows that this FTX hacker made as much as $8 million in transactions based on the stolen Ethereum tokens. 
• The identity of this FTX hacker isn’t known yet, as the cybercriminal is keen on using sophisticated identity protection tools. Furthermore, the amount of Ethereum tokens by this hacker is quite massive. Even after these trades, there are still more than $302 million Ethereum tokens in this hacker’s wallets. So, there are speculations that there will be more transfers from this hacker now that it is now active.
