The fact that Visa are seeking to recruit crypto experts is not surprising at all, seeing that the firm has been actively involved in crypto and blockchain for a while now. Just a month ago, the firm announced that they would be expanding their Fintech fast-track program to the central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
This program will enable Fintech to connect to Visa’s payment network within a short period of time. As such Visa indirectly made its foray into crypto being helping Ripple’s partner InstaRem. InstaRem, a Singapore based Fintech startup has actively joined Visa’s Fintech fast-track program in the Asia Pacific region, which allows for quicker and easier deployment of the company’s commerce solutions on Visa’s payment networks.
Visa’s crypto involvement has not been restricted to dealings with InstaRem only, they also announced the purchase of Earthport Plc., which was a Ripple partnered British Fintech with an acquisition deal of about 198 million pounds.
Visa just like many other major firms is looking into crypto and hiring accordingly. It is quite likely that crypto hires will be on the rise for the next foreseeable future, this just attests to the potential in this space.
