The ever-growing Blockchain platform Tron has hired a former United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) supervisory attorney, as its first-ever chief compliance officer.
David Labhart, who previously worked as an attorney for the US regulator, will also wield the mandate of being the co-general counsel at the company.
Tron is increasingly becoming a force to be reckoned with since its TRX token has built such a major presence in the crypto industry over the past year. The success of Tron over the past year is no doubt the hard work of its CEO Justin Sun, who has been busy organizing publicity efforts; the most notable one being Kobe Bryant’s expected appearance in Tron’s upcoming Nitron summit in San-Francisco
Tron celebrated the opening of its 1 millionth user account last month which shows that people are resonating with its goal of offering an alternative platform for decentralized applications (Dapps) to Ethereum.
Tron’s token TRX became the top daily performer earlier in the month after registering a 6.4 percent rise in just 24 hours. Tron is navigating regulatory turbulence quite well, that has seen firms such as crypto exchange Bittrex, opting to split operations and take forays into other countries in order to segregate US users who are bound by different rules.
