Cardano is a decentralized proof of stake blockchain with the native token (ADA). Being proof-of-stake means, it relies on staking to approve transactions on the network. On the other hand, this is the opposite of proof-of-work blockchain. Unlike Cardano, proof-of-work depends upon the signing of transactions through mining.
Nevertheless, Cardano established itself as a top blockchain by operating for nearly 6 years. Considering what it takes to run a blockchain, this is a massive milestone for Cardano. Sometimes, blockchain suffers from attacks that make it stop running. In some cases, increased user activity makes some blockchains to have downtime. However, for Cardano, it continues to operate despite these challenges.

User Activity Continue To Increase At Cardano
While the Cardano network continues celebrating the new milestone, there’s more good news. The number of user activities on the network stays consistent. Within the past two weeks, the level of user activity on the network increased. In fact, data shows the network had above 60,000 transactions daily for the last 15 days.
At press time, Cardano has a daily transaction of 72 million. Cardano’s daily transactions increased after the news broke out. Because back on 26th July, Cardano had a daily transaction of around 68 million. However, the highest number of daily transactions within the past 15 days happened on the 13th of July. The network had close to 90 million transactions.
