San Francisco based crypto exchange, Coinbase which is one of the largest and most accomplished of its kind has some great news for you this December. As revealed on their blog, they will be rolling out the new “convert” service soon.
What this means for Coinbase customers, is that they will be able to convert one crypto-currency to another using the “convert” service. As per the Coinbase statement, it will at first only be able to convert between Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Litecoin (LTC), 0x (ZRX) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
The convert service will reportedly be available on Coinbase ios and android apps as well as the crypto exchange’s official website, Coinbase.com. The service will reportedly be more cost-efficient compared to making crypto conversions via two separate transactions.
The American crypto exchange will gradually roll out their ability to convert crypto-currencies to customers in 34 countries where Coinbase offers native payment access. Over time the crypto-currency will collect feedback on the new service and make the necessary adjustments in order to make the service better.
Coinbase has been on a mission to hand out Christmas goodies to customers since the 10th of December in a campaign dubbed “12 days of Coinbase” named after the popular “12 days of Christmas” jingle.
The “convert” service is definitely a step up to the integration deal set up with PayPal two years ago, which enabled customers to sell their Bitcoins and have their fiat funds deposited in their PayPal wallets.
This latest feature follows up Coinbase’s goal since inception which has always been to build an easy to use, secure and trusted experience for everyone wishing to trade in Bitcoin. This feature will definitely make crypto more accessible to anyone.
