Donald Trump, a former US president, has released a set of digital trading cards featuring him as various characters, such as a superhero, astronaut, and Nascar racer.
Restoring American Greatness Through NFTs
In announcing his very own NFT collection on Thursday, businessman and media personality Donald Trump expressed his desire to restore American greatness. Trump’s NFT trade cards are created utilizing the Polygon blockchain, according to the website collecttrumpcards.com, where you can view the NFTs.
Trump used Polygon because it “describes itself as eco-friendly and carbon neutral, which makes it better for the environment,” according to the network. Trump’s Truth Social social media page announced the launch of the NFT collection.
The website claims that customers who purchase Trump’s NFT cards are instantly entered into a drawing for a variety of rewards. The prize recipient may, for instance, “spend a wonderful evening in Miami for an exclusive dinner hosted by Trump,” “experience an incredible private meeting with Donald Trump at Mar-A-Lago,” or “join Donald on the green for an exclusive 1-hour of golf.”
Announcement Triggered Varied Reactions
The website also states that no purchase is required to enter the competition. Trump’s announcement of the NFT collection enraged many proponents of cryptocurrencies, and many individuals commented on Trump’s latest endeavor on social media.
The Wolf Of All Streets, Scott Melker, said: “I have so many questions and comments, but really just in disbelief and confused and hope it all goes to zero posthaste so we can start again.” Eric Wall, a supporter of digital money, also commented on the former president’s NFT collection.
“Wait a minute,” Wall tweeted. “These NFTs give you access to a community. A dinner with Trump. Golfing with Trump, Zoom calls. One-on-one meetings. Autographs. These aren’t baseball cards. This is a SimpDAO.”
The cards are solely “designed as collectable objects for individual enjoyment exclusively, not as investment instruments,” according to Trump’s website. Additionally, anyone who purchases 45 Trump NFT cards will receive 45 entries into the giveaway and is “assured” a ticket to a “Gala Dinner” with Trump in South Florida.
Trump NFT cards can be purchased with any major credit card or cryptocurrency, and all that is required is an email address. One of the acceptable cryptocurrencies users can use to purchase a Trump NFT is wrapped ethereum (WETH).
