Key Points
- On-chain data tracked by Arkham Intelligence shows wallets attributed to Trump Media and Technology Group moved approximately 4,259 BTC (around $343 million) to a Crypto.com address in two transactions earlier today.
- Arkham labeled the source wallets as “2028 convertible notes collateral,” suggesting the funds may be tied to debt obligations the company issued in May 2025, maturing on May 29, 2028.
- A transfer to a centralized exchange does not confirm a sale. Trump Media previously told The Block that an earlier large BTC transfer to Crypto.com was “transferred but not sold.”
- Following the transfers, Arkham shows Trump Media’s tracked wallet balance at approximately $104,884, a near-complete drawdown of previously visible on-chain holdings.
- Trump Media has not publicly commented on today’s movement. CryptoNewsBytes is reporting based on publicly available on-chain data via Arkham and previously published statements from the company.
What the On-Chain Data Shows
According to on-chain data published by Arkham Intelligence, wallets attributed to Trump Media and Technology Group (Nasdaq: DJT) sent approximately 4,259 BTC to a Crypto.com address (ending 34jvU) in two transactions earlier today, November 5, 2026. The two transfers, 2,140 BTC ($172.67M) and 2,119 BTC ($171M), were executed roughly 11 hours ago at the time of writing.
Arkham’s labeling of the source wallets as “2028 convertible notes collateral” provides important context. Trump Media issued convertible notes in May 2025 with a maturity date of May 29, 2028. As disclosed in the company’s Q1 2026 SEC filing (10-Q), approximately 4,260.73 BTC was listed as serving as collateral for those notes, with the company restricted from distributing or withdrawing those funds until the notes mature or are otherwise settled.
The timing and volume of today’s transfer nearly match the Q1-reported collateral figure, which suggests this movement may be related to those obligations, though the exact reason has not been confirmed by the company.
Transfer to Exchange Does Not Mean Sale
It is important to note that on-chain data shows only the movement of funds. It does not confirm whether a sale has occurred. When a similar transfer was flagged in August 2026, Trump Media told The Block that the Bitcoin was “transferred to Crypto.com but not sold.” The company has previously used Crypto.com as a custodian for its Bitcoin treasury holdings.
It is also possible the move reflects a change in custodian arrangements, collateral management under the note indenture, or early repayment preparation. All of these would involve moving funds to an exchange without an immediate sale. CryptoNewsBytes has not independently verified the reason for today’s transfer and Trump Media had not issued a public statement at the time of publication.
