Ledger users are now able to make purchases using PayPal. As Ledger adds Paypal, users can acquire crypto assets through the Ledger Live App by linking their direct storage to their hardware wallet.
Ledger Simplifies Crypto Tokens
The new partnership with PayPal will allow Ledger to provide new on-ramping solutions for the users of its hardware wallet.
As a result, Ledger Wallet owners can now easily buy several popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin through their PayPal accounts. These purchases will be credited immediately to their Ledger wallets, skipping any middle-person issues.
Convenience and Security Combined
Ledger Live offers convenient solutions for beginners and professional investors in the crypto market. Moreover, for users already invested in crypto tokens, PayPal will require no further authentication.
“Users can combine the ease of use they want with the security they need,” a Ledger representative told Decrypt. “Rather than using non-secure browser wallets or holding their funds on exchanges, users can combine the ease of use they want with the security they need.”
Previously, Ledger users could exchange fiat currency (such as US Dollars) for cryptocurrencies using MoonPay, Wyre, or Coinify. Incorporating a market giant such as PayPal into the French crypto firm’s operations is remarkable.
Ledger Adds PayPal to Expand Crypto Access
Pascal Gauthier, who serves as both the Chairman & CEO of Ledger, stated Ledger’s commitment to making the world of cryptocurrencies easier to access for everyone.
Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier stated, “With over two decades leading the digital payment evolution, PayPal’s expertise complements our mission in this new era of asset advancement through our integration.” Ledger adds PayPal to develop a sense considering both companies work toward delivering secure, efficient, and rapid transactions worldwide.
The Ledger spokesperson further mentioned that this feature would benefit all if individuals are new to crypto and are seeking a reliable provider for entry into the space or are already involved and looking for a convenient method to purchase crypto and immediately secure it in their Ledger.
PayPal’s Future Journey
Ledger has also hinted at some other features from their partnership with PayPal and will announce them soon.
Paypal is trying to scale up in the crypto marketplace after facing competition from competitors like Jack Dorsey – Ex-Twitter CEO, and financial ventures by Apple and Google.
Lately, they have also announced the deployment of PayPal USD (PYUSD) stablecoin on the Ethereum platform.
